today my mum gave me SLeopard retail.
i have installed it on to my Core duo macbook, i will wait a few days of use before i do the same on to my iMac. i dont mind screwing up the lappy.. i do mind the iMac!
i popped in the DVD,a window opened up, i clicked on install.... now last time i installed an OS it would then restart and boot on to the OS disk... when the install was 1/4th way through the MBook restarted!.. and continued to install. when it was finished it did the whole welcome to OSX in all the languages etc.
i went to open the sys prefs in the dock to have a peek.. and it would not open and said i had the wrong version of Sys prefs! dragged that off the dock.
anyway.. i knew i needed to run updates so i did + restart etc.
now on 10.6.2 no more updates to be done. will now run permisions
now i have a new set of OSX apps in my applications folder. now i normally sort these in to folders; eg; ichat gets put in to the internet folder, iDVD gets put in to a Movies folder, sys prefs in to utility folder and so on. just how i do things.
can i delete the "old" set of apps and move the new set in to their folders?
TBH at the moment i dont see any difference UI between Leopard and SLeopard...yet..
